What a crazy day! I will post a short video of leaving Venice with all the “working man “boats getting supplies to the city that is sort of entertaining . I think Venice is a a dying city in some ways...lots of struggling super rich shops but the real issue is the locals are leaving the city.

Ride down to Florence was a nice tit to rest..the actual rest /truck stops are an experience in themselves  busy but good fresh food friggin gas is 8.00 per gallon…

Got off the bus took the local train into Florence and oh my god the people...you just cannot imagine the crowds..seriously it was packed! But what the hell it is a once in the life experience right? So got to our rooms in yet another small hotel off the path but place is here in the middle of the city...anyway we had a tour and I walked around the corner and saw this building call the "Duomo" and it took my breath away.anyway ..we have tickets to go to the top tomorrow....anyway did a local tour guide but was distracted with all the people...had special tickets to go to the museum that has the statue of David which was the only thing of the hundreds of pieces of art that made it worth it ..17 feet tall..biggest one piece..5 tons..the hands are extra big because Michal Angelo though it was going to be on top of the "Duomo...anway that's the one piece of art I needed to see.

The tour group went to a local restaurant had pasta local t bone steaks and too much wine...you will see the videos...anyway going to get up in a few hours to do a dawn walking tour before the people come out ...should make for some great pictures...seriously there is some great buildings to see here!!!!
