Dropped down into the mighty Rhine River staying in a little village and for whatever reason very few people. Yeah! We did a tour of the village with a local… talked about many things but had he had the courage to talk about ww2 and how/why the nazi came to power and how they took the local Jews. He shared stories about how it was to grow up in this little village…about his family during the war…how Germans are dealing with living with “the final solution “Complicated subject.

Staying at very old German hotel… brook or Britt mentioned she would like to see the food see pictures. Lunch was at the base of a huge castle which was served family style brats sour crout potatoes a very German meal . Dad would have liked it.

Next tour was a big castle.. this region has lots of them.. the money for them was from charging tariffs.

Fun to look at all the barges and cruise boats going by as it’s the busiest river in the world.

Moving day tomorrow.

I loved the boat ride back to our picturesque little German village. It is really like a post card. The church bells might get on your nerves if you lived here?
