Yesterday was a travel day. I got to sit in the front jump seat of the bus with one of the worlds, greatest characters Richard, our bus driver. I’ll put some videos it seemed like a long day of driving, but I watched a great Netflix series on the “Cold War “ highly recommend. Plus the coach offers great views BUT we came through a 17 km tunnel in Switzerland and came out to about 4 inches of snow and it’s only gotten deeper… woke up to light snow and a fog bank. The area that we tried to hike down this morning looked cool but there was too much snow on the road. We needed to turn around… group travel has it’s disadvantages…This area is crisscrossed by trains and gondolas..

I am not going to sound like “ that guy” who complains about how expensive Switzerland is.. I was fore warned. It appears the European tourist industry is booming and this is the off season. Everywhere I look people are competing to spend their money.

This was a very late heavy snow. Overall they have had a poor ski season. Went to a steam that has cut into the granite over thousands of years. Great example of physical weathering.
