Woke up to sunshine and blue skies. Plan for the day is to rent some bikes and expand our area of exploration. We meet back here at 3 meet our travel group for the first and then go for a walking tour and dinner. I am hoping I do ok with staying in line part lol

One interesting aspect of the area is how much “bricks” are used in the construction of the buildings and roads. The expert mashionary work on the buildings is amazing…you really need to slow down and look at the detail. Advantage of the bricks with trees is the the side walks Ben’s up unlike concrete with will crack from the pressure of the tree roots. The roads and side walks have these waves in them…funny Genine was talkin about some funny’s aches that we think is from the unlevel terrain.

Loved our bike trip to the beach. The bike paths are amazing as they will have parallel lanes in the roundabouts and all kinds of confusing signs and traffic pattern's. one of my favorite parts was when we were blown by with a group of 15 -20 pelatons bike riders all wearing the national colors!

from Genine: We had a busy and full Sunday! Rented e-bikes and rode them out to the beach, truly a nice ride and fun. Came back to town and did a loop around part of Haarlem, definitely, more challenging with traffic, bike lanes and buses… no wears helmets here! We met our tour group and guides Dimetri and Gregoire, everyone seems very nice and friendly and happy to be here.

After the introductions and the information we went on a Haarlem walking tour followed by beverages at an old local pub and the dinner at Indonesian restaurant , the food was great and we had a nice time
